Seacoast Inc. Quality Control Manual

Welcome to the electronic edition of the Seacoast Inc. Quality Control Manual (QCM).

This manual implements Seacoast Inc.'s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards set by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the supporting codes and specifications and normalizing references listed below. It governs all fabrication, inspection, and administrative functions across the organization and serves as the reference document for Seacoast Fabrication Staff and Customer when understanding Seacoasts Quality Control Plan.

How to use this manual

  • Use the left-hand hamburger to open the navigation to open any section.
  • Use the search bar (top of every page) to find a term across the whole manual.
  • Each section includes a Revision History table listing the Revision Date and Approving Authority.
  • Printable copies and formal controlled copies are available on request from the Quality Manager.

Section organization

Every procedure section in this manual follows a standard format:

  1. Purpose — What the procedure covers and why it exists.
  2. Definitions — Key terms and abbreviations used in the section.
  3. References — Applicable codes, standards, and related documents.
  4. Responsibilities — Roles accountable for carrying out the procedure.
  5. Quality Records — Records generated and their retention requirements.
  6. Documentation — Detailed procedural steps and requirements.
  7. Revision History — Change log with dates and approving authority.

Document control

  • Reviewed and updated annually at minimum.
  • Critical changes are incorporated immediately; non-critical changes accumulate for the annual review.
  • Quality records are retained for a minimum of two years from creation date, or per contract requirements if more stringent.
