B. Introduction¶
1. Purpose¶
This procedure manual aims to ensure quality control per industry standards, as set forth by the American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. It is our goal to implement a quality procedure to ensure the highest level of service to the clients of Seacoast Inc.
2. Definitions¶

| Checker | Qualified staff member who independently reviews shop and erection drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before customer submittal. The Checker and Detailer shall not be the same person. |
| Detailer | Staff member responsible for producing shop and erection drawings per contract requirements and Seacoast detailing standards. |
| Quality Assurance Inspector | The customer's representative responsible for commercial inspection of fabrications on behalf of the owner. |
| Quality Control Inspector | Seacoast staff responsible for final inspection of fabrications, reporting to the Quality Control Manager. |
| Quality Control Manager | Responsible for maintaining and enforcing the Quality Control Manual, overseeing inspection activities, and ensuring compliance with AISC certification requirements. |
| Quality Control Plan | The governing document for Seacoast Inc.'s quality management system. |

5. Quality Records¶
Unless otherwise noted, all Quality Records follow the Seacoast "Policy for Maintenance of Quality Records" documented in the QCM Quality Control Plan (Section A-page 13)
- 5.1 Resume: Resumes are filed electronically on the Seacoast server and kept per policy or contract requirements if they differ. Resumes are located on the shared server under: Si-server > Shared > AISC > Fabricator > 1.05 Management > 1.05.04 Resumes
- 5.2 Management Review Meetings: Records of management review meetings documenting quality system performance, audit findings, corrective actions, and continuous improvement decisions. Meeting minutes are retained per policy.
6. Documentation¶
6.1 Organizational Structure & Management¶
The individual departments within Seacoast, Inc.'s organization (i.e., estimating, project management, accounting, purchasing, detailing, shop personnel, QCM, and QCIs) are responsible for carrying out this procedure.
The General Management is to provide equipment, technical support, trained personnel, facilities, directions, and leadership.
The general management is also responsible for ensuring that Seacoast, Inc. complies with the AISC "Standard for Certification Programs."
